Default wax on denim paints

I recently purchased a pewter denim street glide. I decided to wax it, and it turned out ok. Then I decided to use this rejuvinating wax and it seems like it left streaks in the paint and it heavily distorted the finish. Has anyone had this problem? And will it come out with washing it?

Did you read your manual? You do not wax denim finishes. Use Windex to clean, and Harley Gloss to shine.

You might have just buffed your paint job into something you did not want.

And Welcome to the forum.

Mix rubbing 1/3 alcohol with 2/3 water in a spray bottle and see if you can remove the wax..Waxing denim paint is a big NO-NO..

Dish washing detergent (not dishwasher detergent) should be able to cut and remove the wax but unfortunately, you may have buffed the paint.

That's the ticket to getting the wax off. But yeah, hopefully it didn't mess anything up...

Cant imagine one wax destroying the denim finish. HD has come out with a new product specially formulated for the denim finish. Along with the other advise, time will help bring back the finish to original dullness.

No mercy from this group, when they find a weakness they really pull together, kinda like a shark smelling blood in the water!
