"rejuvenating wax" contains rubbing compound. Sandpaper might help.

i can understand where the op is coming from though. ive got a 50 chevy pickup that i have flat blacked. but i wanted it to have just a tad of sheen to it. i waxed one fender and just didnt care for it. repainted the fender flat back.

My Son uses Pledge on His Black Denim Dyna. He is real **** about His Bike, after 25K it still looks brand new.

At least it's silver. I could see the problem being a lot worse if it were black.
Do you have any pictures to go along with it? I would think that the absolute worse case scenario is that you'd have to get a new satin clear coat sprayed on it.

BUT, at least you have somewhat of a story to go along with it.
It'd be a lot worse, if you parked somewhere, and someone waxed your bike while you were in the store or something. That'd just be mean.

I bought Denim because I didn't want to have to wax it to keep it looking good.
