I have the HD Handlebar Speaker System.....and good set, not great, but good. I wonder if there is a way to upgrade the HD speakers? With this system I could not mount my windshield bag, which I really miss

Got a couple questions....

The screw heads that show through the windshield....thats underneath the windshield right....no hole drilling needed?

How hard would it be to change from one windshield to another?

Also...the Ipod holder comes with it? Does it rub the tank paint any?

thanks much!!

BTW: Great thread!
check out my thread. I just installed on mine and love it. No holes need to be drilled. changing windshields would really only require loosening the three screws that hold the speakers and swapping. The magnetic tank pouch is NOT included in the kit. I have not noticed any paint issues so far from the tank pouch. Besure to order the relay kit that is recommended as well.

So if I wanted to control the volume from my iPod instead of the handlebar mount could the handlebar mount be left off ? My entire handlebars, controls, and grips are chrome and from what I have seen the handlebar control is only available in black which would look like crap on my bars

I don't believe you will be able to unless you want to short some wires. The power button is on those controls as well.

I have one on order and will be in on monday, looking @ the way it is mounted I am thinking I will need to loosen up the windshield screws and place the pouch between the windshield and the windshield mount and place the boom speakers where they would normally mount so the lip of the speak housing catches the mount on the inside of the windshield and use longer screws when I put it together, anybody have a set up like this or know of any one that does?? Thanks again, Allen (Bike is a 2006 Heritage with a stock clip on windshield)

Did you get this to work?

Default Plase email the PDF

I bought my 2002 Road King firefighter edition with this installed. It sounded great but now is not working. I'm sure it's just a ground wire as the horn stopped working, too. Would like to trace the ground wire.
