Just bought them for my bike, but am hesitant on opening them because I don't know if that black backing is really there or just for the picture. If it's not there, you would see whatever is behind the latch which would be pretty ugly I would assume. They look good in the pics. Just want to make sure that's exactly how they look when I put them on. There is what looks like some white film behind them in the package. Maybe some wrapped black plexi or something?

Anyone?

I can't imagine the backing of the slots NOT being there...as you say, you'd just easily see the hinge behind the cover. That'd look like total crap. Don't see anyone wanting to make that.

I bet those three insert areas can be ordered with different colors, which is why they look "photochopped" and a different shade than the main part of the piece.

 

Who makes them? Why not just ask them? BTW I don't see what you're refferring to

 

why would you buy them if you think they are behind a secret cover and a latch cover in disguise?, open up the package and look at em???

 

That's what I did!

I didn't want to do that in case they didn't have the insert and they wouldn't take them back just because I didn't like them. I looked at the package very closely and saw a very thin piece of what looks to be plexi so I opened it up. YES there is an insert.

BTW, looks bad @$$!!!!

Reason for not asking is because they are not open today.
