Fxrg mens leather mid weight jacket, who's got em?
#11
I have one and like it. Like others have said, the jacket feels heavy until you put it on, then its not so bad. Its good in temperatures from around 40º to 80º. For me, the FXRG fit me better in the arms than the other jackets I tried on so short of going custom it was the obvious choice. The leather also was softer and I didn't feel like I was a walking advertisment. Like other posters have said, watch the sales and you should be able to find one for a good price.

I've worn it a couple time, myself.
Pros: warm, has body armor including back, rain "resistant" liner and such
Con: It's kinda bulky, but in the dead of winter it's as warm as other more-bulky Cold Weather coats.

I looked at and owned a lot of gear but this jacket is the best piece of gear I own. Make sure you look for the 09 and newer models as they are waterproof leather, you don't need a liner or rain gear. The armor is great. The jacket is comfortable is many temps. My dad has a nice fox creek but it really is no where near the jacket an fxrg is. Why? It's not armored,if you've been down hard you know, and the leather is not waterproof. Done.

Wife and I both like our leather FXRG's.
We've also got the overpants.
Skipped work on Wednesday and rode up to Mt. Baker (early) decided to also put on some under armor for the chill.
Found out we were overdressed!
Stopped at the Frosty Inn in Maple Falls and packed some of the gear away for the ride home.
Bought mine on clearance in Silverdale a couple years back...

I'm used to it.
But you know, it's the truth. My wife spent over $400 on that damn Fox Creek. It's been back to them 3 times, and it still doesn't fit right. The sleeves are long enough, but the body's huge. Get the body to fit and it pulls at the shoulders and the sleeves are too short. Yet somehow the $70 Pakistani leather jacket I bought from LeatherUp and the Chinese FXRG in a "Large" fit perfectly. Fox Creek asks for 5 different measurements and can't get the size right. That's pathetic.
Yes, it's a high-quality, heavy jacket. Yes, it's warm. Yes, it would probably fare well in an accident. But all that is meaningless when they can't make one that'll fit me, so I'm stuck with a $412 closet ornament.
