Purchased 06 SG from Mi. dealer 11000 Mi. one owner before me. Turned down warranty, little over $300.00 for how long I dont remember. Mistake?? just asking.

 

Im regretting not getting the extneded warranty with mine. but maybe youll get lucky...

 

I didn't get the ESP when I bought the bike. Mfg warranty runs out in Dec. With all the problems I've had, I felt obligated to get it.

Most people I know don't have many problems with theirs.

 

damned if you do damned if you don't,,,,,,, ya should have got it for peace of mind if nuthen else

 

hd offers 2 dealerships in good warranty standings a warranty co-op 2 full fill issues that my arise after a machine is past its warranty date. Especially 4 customers of 2 owner bikes. Ask your dealership if they might petition the claim 4 you if not try another dealership The motor company just wants your bike right if not because of some shortcoming frm manufacturing have fun & ridesafe

 

No doubt in my mind ESP's are worth it for the price. 1200-1500 for 5 years of piece of mind is more than worth it to me. Little things add up. and all it takes is one big thing to destroy your bank account.

Ain't worth a crapola until you need it...i needed it twice now and has paid for itself twofold so i will extend again...

 

I'll be making this decition next year when my STD warranty runs out - we'll see the offer & cost & then decide if it's worth it. For you, if it was $300 & coverage was good - would've probably got it.

 

I have never had work done under warranty on anything and I've saved thousands by not buying warranties. This is the first Harley I've owned, and I bought it from an individual, so I didn't have a choice of buying a warranty, but I would have passed on it anyway.
