Wink Got to hand it to harley davidson

They are the kings of marketing. They make bikes none of us really like to been with, and sell lots of stuff to change them with so we do like them. Are they smart or are we just dumb. Been doing this for years. Hey I love them too. Just saying.

Maybe they make them so you can (barely) afford them and then you can dress them up to suit your taste and budget.

The idea of selling a bike, making you feel part of a familly, make everyone spend money over what u already spent and keeping you happy is something very difficult to do..

I liked mine to begin with, have added a few things over a few years. I've done similar with every bike, car or truck I ever bought.

But your right. H-D could put the logo on some worthless beads and get people to trade the land they live on for them. It's the American way.

There are followers, and there are leaders. Guess which ones we are???? I love the whole idea; I've never heard so many people bitch about something so much, yet throw every dime they have at it to make it better and better. This place is full of entertainment We all drank the kool-aid......... H-D, yeah marketing geniuses.

Being a guy with a marketing background I'm in awe of Harley's marketing. Gripe if you will but there are very few of us who don't love the whole image and even fewer who can pass a dealer while traveling and not stop in for a shirt.

I think they all have some hidden homeing device that makes your harley want to turn in to the dealers.

I don't mind at all being able to customize a bike to fit my personal style. What I hate is when I have to go back to the dealer as in those times when I need their damn "digital technician".
