Default Quick question about Magnum brake lines

Got them in yesterday and already have them installed. My question is where that divider (split where master cylinder line branches out to both calipers) bolts to the tree. Does that little alignment pin need to be removed to get it all buttoned down? I can't get that pin in the hole on the Magnum line, it just doesn't line up. I don't want to bend any of the lines. Just wanted to ask before I go any further.

TIA

Yes it does have to be removed or ground down...
I called magnum and commented on this and they said that nobody else is having this problem...Give them a jingle and tell them about this so they can have another caller on file and fix the problem for the next guy...

OK, next question is, can it be removed or does it need to be cut/grinded off?

I left the tab on and bent my lines accordingly.
I will admit, I was rather pissed having to do this.
Main reason I left the tab on was to insure the line didn't rotate.

Yes, you can grind it off.

Keep us informed on this. I just installed there black braided clutch cable because i needed a +4 and it installed perfectly and looks great. I'm getting ready to order the matching brake lines but glad to hear there might be issues before i order them so i know what the fix is if i run into the same problem.

Just installed mine last week. Went on without a hitch didn't have any issues with a "tab' or "pin" it just bolted up like the original set. You can gently tweek the lines without any problems just be gentle.

Just talked with Magnum and was told to remove the "tab." I then asked her about the line moving since that "tab" will be gone and was told it shouldn't move since it will be bolted to the tree. I then asked her if this is something everyone has to do or was it just me and she told me basically everyone is removing it. So there you have it from Magnum.

I'm going to see if I can just tweak the line a bit to get it to line up before I start grinding.

Must be an 09 up issue as I had no problem on my 08.

'11 FLHRC here, just pulled the pin out with pliers, had to bend the tube slightly. Been about 5000 miles an I haven't noticed any movement.
