Default Best way for passenger to mount bike

Looking for the proper way to have passenger get on our Ultra.

I have typically gotten on the bike first, lifted the jiffy stand, then had her get on while I balanced the bike. The other day she just got on while it was on the jiffy stand and it made be cringe a bit because I wasnt sure if it was stable enough but it seemed to do fine. That made me wonder if I have been doing it correctly all along or if really matters? The only thing that worried me is if the bike is on a bit of a side slope and isnt leaning all the way over and could then fall opposite of the jiffy.

So dumb question of the day. Does the rider mount first then the passenger or the other way around?

I just lean forward and the wife either kicks her leg over and gets on or she may use the passenger peg to step over. All I ask is for her to tell me which way she's getting on. If you're worried, just leave the jiffy stand down to catch the bike if it leans too far.

Well..... I have always got on the bike first and balanced the load before the wife gets on. Yes, if you are NOT on the bike and her momentum takes that bike over, you got problems.

Thank you, thats what I figured. It's a bit more difficult to get on with the tour pak and driver backrest than just having her swing the leg over the back of the bike like she is used to with our older bike.

There is no right or wrong. Your way is the right way (meaning it's yours, do it the way you like it). Pesonally, I use the same method you were using. I get on, stabalize the bike, then let my passenger get on.

My wife get on first, while I stablize the bike with left handlebar. No problem.
