Just put V&H Basic slip-ons on my '06' Ultra.Was a little too loud for my taste so I picked up a section of 2 1/4 piece of exhaust pipe from local shop.It slips right into the baffle snug.Cut the same slash on it as the slip-on and allowed an inch to go into the baffle and recess behind the slash cut about 1/4 of an inch.Tack welded in three spots.Now it is not making the loud barking sound as the exhaust is broken by the slash on the insert I installed.Sounds like a sports car now and still runs like a top........JerryB.
