Default 4" Rinehart End Caps

Is anyone else having a problem with these pulling away from the muffler body? I can loosen the screws and tap them back in and tighten the living $hit out of the screws and after one short ride they're slipping back. I thought about adding a fourth screw to the outside of the mufflers but I really don't want to.

Thanks,
Rick

Uh oh, I was JUST getting ready to pull the trigger on these. Are the caps themselves coming loose or just the screws? Chirping too? Maybe a loose baffle?

I think I'll hold off until I read more from you guys

I hope the Allen screws are better quality than the ones on the hub made versions. They were soft and the head would round out way too easily. Called to get a replacement set and they wanted $10 plus shipping. For screws. Ha!!!!!!

I tried that. The right one seems okay but the left one is still a problem.

On mine the screws stay tight, the end cap slips back on the outside where there is no screw.

What about some black hi-temp RTV silicone to keep the end cap from slipping? It's strong stuff and can still be removed if needed. I've used it on the baffles of my boat headers and it worked great. Just a thought....
