After time the left baffle loosens up slightly that's what the chirping is on mine . I've taken the baffle out and somewhat crimped the end on three sides to stop the annoying chirp. Goes away then comes back around 8k miles or so

How does the baffle come out?

Thanks,
Rick

Take the end cap off, sit the muffler end in something soft sitting upright, (rag, wood, whatever), then tap it out from the other end from the inside.
I wrap my baffles with fiberglass, (same as in dirt bike mufflers), seems to keep them tight, gets rid of any of the rattles, and that slight tinny sound.
In my opinion, takes the edge off a bit, but still sound great!

I sent Rineharts warranty department an email explaining my end cap baffle problems. As far as I'm concerned this should be covered. I'll let you know what they say. It's a lot of money to pay for something I have to keep screwing around with.

From the header pipe cracking (they did cover this one,) the chrome peeling off the chrome end caps, the dark end caps discoloring, the right baffle coming loose from time to time and the annoying sound mine made on some types of pavement . . . DONE with Rineharts forever.

I know - it's just my experience, but it is what it is.

Well they are being manufactured by Clearline Industries and not Bub anymore so this is technically the first issue with the "new" Rinehart. I can see your point though.

Did you hear back from them with a solution?

Thanks,

Once I removed the end cap my baffle was loose enough to work side to side and slide right out. Crimped the end of the baffle in three spots then re-installed. As Travlinman314 did I also wrapped my baffles.

This was their response.

"Get some high temp Permatex and put a bead around the endcap and install the endcap. Let it set for a day before you run the bike and it should fix the problem."

Nice huh? It's the last RH product I ever purchase.
