Default The S&S 106 Final Results

The final results for a pair of 2010 streetglides with the same S&S 106 pistons and cylinders,Tman 555 cams, arlen ness big suckers, and D&D fatcat with The perforated wraped performance baffles. The Lower numbers in the dyno sheets were with the Quiet (Concentric) baffles.
The bikes are built the same but the results were not equal. My bike actually has lower numbers. The fuel mileage is 41-47 on my bike and 44 -52 on Mikes bike. My bike made 96 hp and 111 torque. Mikes bike made 101 hp and 113 torque.
As you can see the big dip in torque and hp was caused by the Concentric baffle. There was a adverage of 10 hp gain and 20 ft pounds of torque where the dips were. I highly recommend this build for the budget.
The tuner Rob from Steff's custom tuning (412-414-9046) is a upstanding guy and will go the extra mile to get the bikes right.
We are very pleased with the results. The bikes drive great and have great power for the money invested.

Wow... That's a BUNCH better!

You make an excellent point. No two engines are the same. This is precisely why a MAP made on one bike will never be optimal on another.

It's also great to see back to back comparisons with just a baffle swap.

So how 'bout rideability? Is it now smooth & crisp in any/all condition(s)?

I heard a rumor about wheelie(s)..... Can you confirm or deny?

Congrats!

Yes Phil.. The rumor is true..It did get the front tire in the air. I will be working on getting a photo of that.
The bikes run smooth, pull very hard, and have crisp thottle response. Its amazing what a baffle change has produced.

Wondering how much more with head work? These numbers look good. I am just finishing my 106 with 570 ES cams. 2-1 bub 7 (first time usually get teh fatcat with quiet baffel), heads done by bigboys, hoping for 100/100. On a Dyna FXDC, the power to weight ratio should be good. Will ride to Dallas for tune at Ed's shop of course.

Out of curiosity, what was the total cost for all the work done?

Very, very nice. Your comparison confirms my suspicions about the concentric baffle.
