How high for highway pegs??

I put mine so that they are usable in three positions:
1. Heels on the floorboards, toes on the pegs.
2. Heels or soles on the pegs.
3. Backs of the ankles on the pegs, soles facing forward.
(...and of course, feet on the floorboards not touching the pegs at all)
I think that gets me the maximum flexibility and alternatives.
Hope this helps.

It also works great with my back rest because it pushes my lower back into the backrest where I need support. Very comfortable.
It does put the right peg close to the brake pedal however. It took some practice to adapt.

I put mine low, so they are an extension of my floorboards, very comfortable for me. I can also put them out on just the pegs for a bit more stretch. Try differnent positions as you ride, and keep your wrench handy to change if you don't like. I rode that way for about a month before i put any blue loctite on them.

I have moved them up, about an inch from this picture.
