I find ethanol impacts my mileage dramatically. I just picked up a bottle of a product called Star Tron which is an ethanol neutralizer. Just put it in a tank yesterday so I will see how that works. I have also been using Lucas octane boost and in spite of people saying it will not improve gas mileage I will argue that as it works for me. I also try to run just Shell 93 octane.

I don't think I have ever averaged 40 mph. 2010 road glide ultra, 96 cubes, 204 cam, always run with luggage(bike loaded). I weigh 215lbs. Just don't understand why I get less milage than everyone else. If I run 85 mph on a tank of gas I can't go over 200 miles. Bike dynoed at 90 hp and 99 torque.

You're getting a good spread of replies here. Frankly what does it matter? Compared with the cost of a major engine upgrade your mpg shouldn't influence you.
Theoretically if you ride a big-inch motor exactly the same way as a stock one the mpg will be the same. But the reason for upgrading is to improve performance, which results in increased fuel consumption!
In general you will get an increase in consumption, but most of us who have done it are very happy.
