Dropped my bike-now it has vibration

Have it backward?
>>Best I can tell from reading the clutch hub bearing only makes noise when you pull in clutch since it only spins then.<<
That piece of info is backwards....The clutch has to be engaged to turn that shaft. It makes a terrible racket in neutral with the clutch engaged.

There is also a forth bearing on the other side of the transmission acting as a lazy Susan thrust bearing that spins when you pull the clutch in that is at the beginning end of the push rod. Do I make sense now? Hard to keep all the inner and outer stuff straight. There is 4 shafts passing out of the transmission inside each other with three making it into primary. Three separate seals on trans side and one on primary side. Its also the vent thru here for the primary which vents into transmission and shares the transmission vent tube. Also in my previous post I said seal could get cut from metal but it can also leak simply by the bearing going bad and have more shake and this motion will overwhelm the seal and cause it to weep.

Thanks for the replies
Sorry, it went down on the left side. The bike never got far enough over to hit the bag or the bag guard. I've checked all around the saddlebag area and engine/primary to see if anything was touching the frame and found nothing.
There is a noise coming from the back end of the primary cover. Sounds similar to the noise that I heard from the inner primary bearing when it went bad. I could hear the noise with the clutch lever out but didn't think of pulling the lever in to see if the noise changed any.
Well, I took it out for a ride this morning rode it about 30 miles and ran it pretty hard. Stopped to get a drink and saw transmission oil dripping from the bottom of the primary. Oil was on the frame towards the rear wheel, on the belt and rear tire and rim. I rode it to the dealer and got a ride home.
I'll know more tomorrow and I'll keep you posted.

Looking to buy a dropped bike
Hello,
New to the forum and looking to get a harley. I've been looking at alot of superglides and found one perfect for what I want. 2004 super glide 28k miles. It has been dropped, dent in tank and thats about it. Rode it for about 20 miles today. Ran fine took corners great. Just wondering if anyone could give me any tips on possibly buying a bike that has been dropped. Thank you

I had the same vibration @ 70-75 and roaring sound, cost me a new compensator, primary chain, auto adjuster, clutch basket, clutch hub and both bearings, 07 ulta w/ 40,000 mi....drain your primary oil and see if there is metal shavings on the plug. I was told the auto adjuster was tightening the chain to much, and the splines in the clutch hub started breaking off and grinded up the rest. Don't mean to scare the hell out of you, but drain the oil, it's only a quart of oil to rule it out.

There didn't seem to be much interest in the thread for the last 3 months but I should have followed up, anyway. I hate it when that happens, too.
The left passenger floorboard bracket was broken and put a hole in the inner primary case. On my way to the dealer I went down a pretty steep curb that bumped me pretty good, but I've bumped harder before with no problem.
It was after the service dept closed when I picked the bike up so I didn't talk to a tech. I got the warranty ticket that had parts on it. Comment was: Replaced inner primary and left passenger floorboard.
He's running and riding great. No problems since.
