Default Update on my 07 RG losing fire

Well, some of you know I had problems with my 07 dieing on me and loosing all electric but would start right back up. Did it 2 times within 100 to 150 miles apart.

Took it in and they checked all connections, wires etc. Said they found nothing. It's been 300 miles and no problems since in the shop.
Now I am wondering if they maybe fixed it and did not know they did, Did they find something and not tell me they did or will it haunt me later..............Like on a road trip?

That's almost gotta be the maxi fuse, or some other really big important connector. I'd pull the seat and side covers and jiggle/reseat everything in sight.

My '06 FXD35 died on me one time for no apparent reason. Was just leaving the neighborhood when it quit.....fired right back up. Service Manager looked at the injectors for the proper number and said to ride and not worry. I figured I didn't allow enough warm-up time....but so far, all has been fine.
Never did it again...........go ride.

Hate to say it, but only time will tell. If there's nothing they can point to as the problem, then you won't really know if it's fixed until you put some miles on it. Maybe in the course of checking connections, they found a loose one without realizing it.

Theres probably something that was not seated in right. Even though they said they checked everything they might of seated something and did not know it. Sometime them things happen. I kinda agree with the buzz its got to be some big connection. Whats the connections on your battery are they could n tight? Good looking bike my son has him a 07 glide ordered should be in the end of the month or first part of Oct. I think he is going to put a luggage rack/backrest like you got. He has a T-bag he will use on trips. I assume yours is the Q-detachable one. I had a setup like that I use on my 05 RKCustom I had.

Yep, its a detachable backrest/luggage rack. I like it a lot!!!! On off in 5 seconds.

One of the axioms of mechanical issues.

The magnitude of the problem will increase exponentially in direct relation to the distance to the closest repair / towing facility. And could be astronomical if you do not have cell phone signal.

So yes, it will most likely come back when you are on a long distance trip in the toolies.
