HERE is a link to how I mounted my Nuvi 550. It's been working great for me.

I am sorry I don't have a picture but get a Ram mount for your GPS. I purchased a 550 Nuvi and it is waterproof and a lot cheaper. Save some money and go for it.

I love to get lost too. I have also found it nice, when it's getting dark or I'm running low on fuel, I can just push a button and get the directions I need.

Here is my GPS setup. I just mounted it to the inner fairing so I dont clutter up the handle bars.

I use the Garmin 1300 in a Ram Mount that is mounted on handle bar. Works great and no vibration to speak of. None on road and very little at idle when stopped. I plan to pick up one someday that has the audio out to use the Aux port. You sure can't hear the young lady at speed with the tunes going. If it rains put it in the tourpak. I also don't leave it unattended when I stop. It takes 10 seconds to take it off and put it in the tour pak.

Ram Mount for more than 16k miles never had a problem, GPS is a Nuvi 550, the mount is held in by the mirror.

I have my 128$ streetpilot mounted to the fairing. I've had it mounted on two different bikes this way for over 70,000 mile without any problems yet.
