What needs to be done at a service?
Coming up on 27,500 miles. Am capable of changing fluids, lubing cables, plugs wires etc. My question is, I know at certain miles, certain things need to be checked. What? How do I find out?. What things should always be checked. Grease neck bearings, brakes, belt. etc. These $275 services are getting steep. BTW, cam tensioners were replaced @ 22,500. It's an 05 FLHT. Run Synthetic fluids at the moment. Thanx.

See if you can read this.

I think they do some other stuff too because they have mentioned doing stuff like taking the axle out and applying anti-seize, etc.

Get the service manual from the dealer, it has full instructions on maintenance services and also repair procedures. Enough information to completely disassemble and reassemble your bike. The factory manuals are better than any other.
Also get a parts manual which will have the part numbers for every piece on your bike.
For some bikes there is an electrical/electronic manual.
The owners manual is also nice to have.
All 4 books will cost less than one dealer service.
