Default Help with noise from under Roadking

I have a 2004 Roadking Custom with 10K miles, and I keep hearing some type of "clunk" sound coming from under the bike when I drive over big bumps. However, I can't find anything loose.

I believe I read something on the forums a month or so ago that dealt with transmission mounts or something similar being loose on the touring models but I have been unable to locate the thread. I have already checked the kickstand and have added a new rubber pad.

Can anyone give me ideas of what I can check?

First thing I would do is pull off the bags....make sure the swingarm isn't broke...check both sides where the axle goes thru for cracks...then check that your rubber mounts for the exhaust under the saddlebag rails are still in one piece...then while your at it be sure you have air in the rear shocks and check that one of them isn't leaking oil.

Swingarm and rubber for exhaust look good. 10lbs in the shocks. How can I tell if one is losing oil other than oil on the ground, which I have not seen?

When a shock goes, it'll leak oil. And won't hold air. Pretty common on the touring bikes.

My 06 was doing that, turned out to be a broken front
motor mount.

You check the mufflers? They can come loose and make a racket. Rear mount keeps them from moving too far.
