EZ-Up Center Stand vs. Harley Center Stand (PN 91573-09A)
I know that the EZ-Up Center Stand is very well liked on this forum; but I was wondering if anyone has comparison information on the Harley Chrome Center Stand? Aside from the price difference (the EZ-Up is easier on the wallet), is there a marked difference between the two?

EZ-Up will not lift the rear wheel off the ground for maintenance and cleaning. They say put a piece of 3/8 inch plywood under the legs and you will lift the rear wheel. The HD Center stand legs can be adjusted to lift the rear wheel off the ground. I had the HD on my 08 Ultra, and will shortly have one on my 10 Ultra limited.

I use the Easy-up stand and I love it. No it is not adjustable, but, it is built solid as a rock! When I want to clean the rear wheel, I just slip a little piece of 1/2 inch board under the stand and raise the bike up. Easy peasy-lemon squeezy. Plus, the Easy-up people are great to deal with and not at all like the "you owe us" Harley dealer folks.

I just installed an EZ-UP on my 2009 Ultra this weekend and so far I love it. I put a piece of 3/8 plywood under it to clean the rear wheel and check the air pressure. I also did an oil change and clutch adjustment. What an easy job with that stand. The best part is that I don't have to get off the bike to get it on the stand; its just so easy to use.
