Default In praise of the Cee Bailey SSC

I haven't had my 13" Cee Bailey on my Street Glide all summer. I've been riding with a 6" FLHT Custom with wings from a DFW based company...Half Moon or FLHT Custom Shields.

I put my Cee Bailey SSC back on a week ago and what a great windshield it is! Nothing protects the rider from the wind like it does. It creates such a nice wind pocket and the air you get is buffered very nicely. I also think it fits the look of the SG perfectly.

Just wanted to share my enthusiasm for this windshield!

Gotta agree with Glider on this one. Absolutely no other windshield out there cuts down the turbulence on a Glide like the SSC. I've tried (and own) them all.

Came close to ordering one.....price and appearance threw me off! More than satisfied with the pricing, quality and service from www.fastaire.com .

For the money, the Fastaire is definitely the best screen out there. Just can't go wrong for $25. The SSC definitely cuts down the turbulence better though. It's a fairly simple premise - the SSC sits about 4"closer to the rider. The closer you are to the windshield, the lower the turbulence (just ask your passenger).

As for looks, to each his own. Personally, I love the looks of the SSC. I think that the lines flow seamlessly with the bike's. I go through phases though.....

From the look of your ride, it appears to me that you spare no expense to improve its appearance, yet you balk at the price of a windsheild? Well as mentioned above, "To each his own". After all it's only money.

I for one absolutely love my SSC

pretty funny actually...I think the windshield cost something like $70. I've got 4 Fast Aires of all sizes and tint's, the FLHT custom shields in 6" and 10" and two Cee Baileys, 13" and 9". They are all great windshields and no question that Fast Aire is top notch for the money, as well as the Half Moon.
Seems I remember Bounty Hunter going off on something about the cool look of them and thier "Corbin" like appearance in one post. No that it much matters

It is simply the smoothest running windshield there is. I do find myself swapping my windsheilds out a lot however when the mood strikes me. The only thing that irks me about the Bailey is that everytime I remove it and go to reinstall it, I have to mess with it quite a bit to get it to not squeak. I ultimately accomplish the goal but always takes a few on and offs.

UGGA...what size is the SSC in your post? What is the tint? I have the opaque 9" and the light tint 13". I've found the 13" to be about perfect for me, but would like something with a little darker tint and still be able to ride with at night. Also....wondering if a 12", (which is a 9") in actual size would be as effective as my 13. Any thoughts?

Or his inability to resist promoting whatever "he" is using as superior to anything else Actually consistently amusing I still say "follow that car...and step on it"!

Some products attract my initial enthusiasm....and it can quickly fade (SSC). Other products attract and keep my enthusiasm (Hard Krome). Just happy to consistently keep ya amused...that's the fun of the forum...and if I have helped guys make a choice because of products I have "promoted"...now that's cool too. Certainly others have helped me make informed choices...on "superior products". Now, if I could just get that Draggin' Baggers system delivered....![sm=devilgrin.gif]
