Yes. As I said in another post, when you are replacing the tensioners, you are already halfway into a cam change job anyway. Might as well do the cams. As someone else has pointed out, be sure to change the cam bearings. My inner cam bearings were very close to detonating and ruining the case when they were changed (at 65,000 miles). Caught it just in time.

I did this build about three months ago, I have been very happy with the SE204's. I ride two up a lot, for the extra $400 bucks I spent on the 204's I am well pleased. I have no comparison to the Andrews though cost or performance. I have an 06 Classic ElectraGlide and had several people steer me away from the gear drive because of run out concerns. I wanted to have parts in hand before I started the project for minimal down time and did not want to discover the gear drive wouldn't work right in the middle of the deal. I also change to AMS Johnson-Hylift lifters which were highly recommended to me.

I am thinking of doing the same thing, I have a 99 EG Standard, the tensioners were done by the indy dealer before I bought it 2 months ago. I am thinking of the upgrade tensioner kit so why not put better cams in as well, my indy mech told me to replace the lifters to since I just turned 40k miles. Am wondering how much all of it will cost.

Because I used to do a lot of touring on my old 05 RG, I went with the 95" kit and 203 cams. Do not know if they are still available but pulled well down low.
I think that the 204 and 211 give more Tq up higher.

60k miles. HD hydraulic. Andrews 21. All i can say is get the 21's if you are going to stay with the 88". Run out if steam pfffft! Better than my stockers at high RPMs. How often do you ride that high up.? Fantastic is all I can say for 99% of your riding. Andrews 21. Andrews 21. Andrews 21!!!
