Default Tour Pack Hinges

Are the tour pack latches adjustable to pull down tighter or do I need to replace the lid gasket? Seems the lid does not latch tight like it did when it was new.

the latches are pot metal junk that stretches. I've replaced mine three times on my '03. It would be nice if they would make a latch replacement like they do for the hinge, Can't imagine the seal wearing out though.

You can get deluxe tour pack hinges from harley.

You cannot remove them from the outside once mounted, they are very rigid and thick chrome metal.

They do not bend or warp. Love em. Had em installed for over a year and a half.

Cost me about 50 bucks at Harley.

He's asking about the latches, not the hinges. I have the Premium Hinges, which I consider a necessary upgrade, but they don't prevent the latches from getting loose over time.
So is there a solution besides replacing the latches?

Do you fellas wanting to adjust the latches pack so much stuff that you need to compress the contents or stress the latches to close the lid? I ask because I have an '08 tour pak and the lid latches securely.

The latches become loose over time, without putting any stress on the lid. My lid closes securely too but the latches have developed a little bit of play. They don't feel as sturdy as they were when new.

I have an 04 with 50,000+ miles - latches are fine and I really do not see how pot metal can stretch? break yes but stretch? guess I will have to pay closer attention to mine from now on...

There are retaining springs in these latches and they stretch when used frequently.
