HD Demo Rides
Just got back from a demo ride day at the local dealership. I did five rides:
Ultra Classic
Ultra Limited
Road Glide Ultra
Road Glide Ultra CVO
Streetglide CVO
I really liked the throttle response and the brakes on these new ones and no more hand cramps in my clutch hand in stop and go traffic.
The Streetglide was my least favorite, I felt like my knees were way above my hips. Not comfortable.
Though an Ultra Classic has been something I've wanted for a long time, the bars on the Road Glide Ultra were a little wider than the UCs making them more comfortable for me. I did each ride 2-up and my wife also seemd to favor the RGU. But, when she got on the RGU CVO she said it seemed to ride smoother and it also had a lumbar support on the passenger backrest. The problem, $36K.
When we got back on my bike to head home, the first thing I noticed was I felt like I was sitting on top of the bike ILO in the bike like each of the 11 models I rode. Other differences were also noticed but I want to keep this short.
Oh well, still had a good day riding.
Guess I'll go pick up my RKC Tour Pack and install it this weekend.

I rode it at a DEMO...and IMO... not worth the extra $14,000 over what i paid for my 2010 SG
give me that $14,000 and i'll build a HOT bike that fits ME perfectly, hauls AZZ, and doesn't look exactly like another guys bike that i might see at the next rally i go to...
BTW...starge thing i noticed , it had an 18" AGitator front wheel and NOT the 19" it is supposed to have....
