Anyone have a tour pack on RKC ?
I'm looking to add the tour pack to my RKC. This would be the hard pack that is color matched to the bike. My questions are:
The tour pack comes with the "arm rests" correct?
Is it a quick disconnect like the passenger backrest or is there a way to secure it with screws so it's harder for a thief to just up and take it in 2 seconds?
Does anyone have one? Pics??

If you talking about the King Tour Pack which is the one painted to match your bike, no it does not come with the back rest with the arm rest. You have to buy it separately.
If you going to use the quick release mount (also purchased separately) you will need the 4 point docking system. The quick release sissy bar only requires the 2 point docking system.
With the standard docking system the complete tour pack can be removed in few second. However, The black locking levers that lock everything onto the 4 point docking system can be replace with ones from Harley that have a key lock built in that prevents someone from snatching your tour pack. You can still take it off quickly you just have to un-lock it first.

Yes, it's technically a RKC and here's a pic with my King TP. Having it detachable is nice, though I rarely remove it. It is kinda big and bulky to take on and off, not heavy, and if you want you can get the detachable locks. The mounts are a very tight fit, and a third hand would be nice, but it's not too bad. No the backrest is not included, you need to pick one to match your bike/seat. Also need to get the correct mount, and if you wanted you can probably go with a solid mount like the Ultra/EG.
On my trip this summer, I just popped it off and brought it in the motel room. I usually do this with all my detach parts. Nothing would be worse than waking up and finding your backrest, TP or shield gone.

Thanks guys, great info and I appreciate the pics. How much extra $$$ is the backrest? I know the tourpack itself is around $700-$800 from Harley. I believe the docking system is another $200 or so? I would like to have it removable since I ride by myself with a solo seat most of the time.
