What do you think of these proposed engine mods?

Adding to what others are saying; start over. Stay away from dome pistons; much easier to set squish with flat tops. '05 heads were the worst; they need some work. You will need a fuel management system if the bike is EFI, like SERT or TTS Mastertune and you will need to find a competent tuner; don't need the S&S ignition parts. You will need to open up the air cleaner if you haven't already; the SE unit will work fine.
If your guy will do the work for $100, take a look at at package like this

and you are done except for tune for $1600. I am not believing the labor price.

Thank you for the suggestions, will I notice a lot more overall power going from a 88 to 95 or 98 on one of these kits, or will all of these mods really be even more than that. This guys has been doing egeine work for a long time in Chicago, his website is www.raysplace.com. Also, it is a carbed bike.
