Slight run away
Bought the wife a new 09 Ultra classic (725 miles). Every once in a while on the inital start up, we let it idle to it is warm and running about 1000rpm. Once we ease away and get to the first stop sign, the thing will idle up to about 1400 rpm and wants to do that for a few seconds. Kinda freaks the wife for a minute, anyone heard of this. Could we have a vacuum leak or something? Could the computer be sluggish to make all the nessessary adjustments?
Thanks

One thing to try is when she shuts down next time , let it idle for 5-10 seconds and don't touch the throttle.
If you try that a couple times and it still does it , the throttle position sensor may need to be re-zeroed.
Your dealer could do it pretty quick for you as it's so new.
I can't remember the procedure , but a quick search will give you the answer to that.
Seems that these bikes don't like a last "blip of the throttle" before shutdown at all.
