I have run these lamps in my last 2 FLHTs. Great lighting, compared to the useless stock lamp. I run 55W100 Hella bulbs, that I buy off EBay for around $4.00 . I am well satisfied with the lighting, for the money, you cannot go wrong. Marchal lamps are another option, as well as Cibie.

Any of the E-code lamps is better than the stock POS that HD puts on these bikes. I have a Hella E-code in my Night Train and love it. The stock lamp had a big dead spot right in the middle of the beam.

Yeah I was looking at the Hella and came across this. Figured for the price it can't be beat if it gives a better beam pattern. Trying to figure out if it is e-spec or not.

It would be a lot brighter!

Joking aside the better a beam a headlamp gives with a normal bulb, the better it will be with a more powerful bulb like HID.
