I agree that's a lot of bang for the buck.

Most 888's in the FM107 seem to move the power to the right on the curve which is the reason I stuck with the 777's. FM does have a curve with 888's in an FM107 on their website that has really good low end power and it carries it out a bit further than my 777's with a few more peak horsepower and ft-lbs (118rwhp/128rwt). It doesn't want to make me pull my 777's in the least bit.

I will be getting back on the dyno soon to run it out further with custom length Bassani Slash-cuts. The original tuner shut it down at 5800 with the horsepower still climbing and I want to see it's peak horsepower.

Want to get some input from you guys. I installed my 107 BB kit with 10.5 comp, Level B heads, 777 cams, stock TB, Thunderheader exhaust and PV for tuner. After breaking in the motor and getting a dyno tune, the bike turned out 105 hp and 118 tq (happy with the tq though). I thought with this kit I would have been in the 115/120 range. My dyno guy told me not to expect those types of numbers due to living in Las Vegas. The elevation alone will drop the numbers down approximately 10% (elevation here is around 2500 ft). Anybody else out west or in higher elevations experience lower than anticipated numbers?

but how does the bike feel to ride? if you like the ride, quit chasing the numbers and ride it like you stole it

My guess would be your stock tb - everything else looks solid, so if you want to go higher might look there.

Enter your numbers in a horsepower vs. altitude calculator (Google it) and you will see the loss based on altitude. The same happens in this area with DA (Density Altitude) in drag racing. If the day was hot and humid, I was running mid-11's, but on a cool day with a perfect DA, I would dip into the 10's ... a past-sold Camaro by the way, not my 'Glide. We would always run our numbers through DA calculators to check performance.

Like others have said, enjoy the new power, but it seems you might be like me and just want to analyze any differences .... nothing wrong with that.

Nope ... the stock 50mm TB on a 107" is fine. I opted for FM's port & polish TB work for the extra couple of numbers, but know that this work does not alter the size of the TB, it just smooths the flow path.

Too large a TB and you will gain hp on the top end, but lose torque on the bottom end. My riding style and 2-up demands the torque over the hp.
