I have got to try these. I went on a 1000 mile trip last weekend and wish my speakers were a little bit more clear. Didn't get to a dealer until after they closed and all the ones i went to the next day were closed on sun. Leaving again in the morning for another weekend trip, looks like i'll have to wait until next week! Thanks for the pics and reviews.

They're actually mounted side-ways - 1/4 turn. He may have mounted them that way on purpose, but I'm too **** to do that. I like having the tweeters on the outside edge of the fairing - you know, like it shows on the box.

I believe he mounted them sideways so that he could reuse the chrome trim. As far as sound, I don't believe it makes any difference. Hog Tunes sells tweeter pods that mount on top of the fairing away from the main speakers and the whole system sounds darn good.

I've been considering the Hog Tunes 6 speaker system. 4 replacement speakers, an amp and speakers for the lowers.

I put the Boom! fairing speakers in as well along with some Dynamat on the inside of the outer fairing. HUGE difference. The dynamat pushes the sound back through the inner fairing. No problems hearing clear as a bell at 90.

@peddler,

It's the Oval with Bar & Shield Logo. Picked it up from one of the local dealers. Seen them in just about all the dealerships I've been to.

I can't take credit for the mod however. I saw someone else here do it on there T-Bag and copied it. Been on there for over a year now.

I am interested in how well the bass ports work. Would you mind updating me when you install them.
