Default tires for gravel

Ive been thinking of doing the Labrador highway next year and from what I understand its pretty close to all gravel and when it rains turns into soup so Im trying find tires that have more traction for my 07 sreet glide. Im not having any luck so far , does anybody know of anything out there( ie dual sport tires)

You may want to run a search on Enduro tires. I think you're nuts for, willingly, taking a Street Glide on a road like that but it's your choice. Good luck to you!

There are good dual sport tires that come on the BMW GS or the Suzuki V-Strom. In fact just use one of those bikes for that trip instead. If you try and take your Street Glide,... your choice of which tires you are using will become the LEAST of your concerns.

Keep us posted and send pictures from along the way.

Sounds like a good trip.
I don't think your going to have much luck searching for 16" off-road or enduro tires with the weight rating for a Harley.
Before you head on your trip go try a few gravel roads. You might try lowering your pressure (by about 5 PSI?) see how it handles. Gravel roads eat tires, expect lots of wear.

I second the BMW GS idea. The only risk is you'll probably want to buy one when you get back. It is one of the most capable and versatile bikes you'll ever throw a leg over!

Dang, that sounds like a great trip, but the wrong bike. My buddys Ultra got stuck in the dirt and gravel no less than 5 times at Bama Bike Fest this Spring just due to a little rain!
