If a helmet can move on the head it is too loose. If it is not DOT approved the straps are just stapled or glued to the inside of the shell - because it is only intended for decorative use. DOT helmets are tested to not come off in an accident (when they are fitted properly).
You know after I read your post I pretty much determined I liked this guy for owning a KTM but yet he is an ***.
I just wish I would have looked at your started posts first before our ride then my daughter would have put a leather jacket on, long pants, and a proper fitting DOT approved helmet...oop, what am I saying she did have all those items on. I guess I could have put a full face helmet on her then she may only have a broken neck.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Glad you both will be OK in time. I take my kids and wife for rides quite often. Hate to think of what could happen. I feel your pain.
That's an incredible story. Glad to hear you're OK and even more so that your girl appear to be essentially fine. I'm sure you'll be keeping a close eye on here. I gotta say, for her to thank you for ride right after that ordeal speaks volumes about how she must feel about you. Great job 'Dad'!
