Advanced riders course
I am glad you and your daughter are ok now. I just recently completed an advanced riders course offered through the state of Oregon. The first thing they taught us was always plan for a way out. Easier said than done but I got the point. Spent a few hours in class and about 6 hours on a track. This was the best training I ever had. Some of the workshops, emergency braking, braking in a turn, brake and swerve, swerve and brake and practice, practice, and more practice on hitting the apex of your turns. By the end of my class I was gently touching down with my floor board brackets in all my turns. I do not recommend this. Before the class I thought I was a great rider with 35 years experience and I left with a few bites of humble pie. I know that sometimes things happen beyond our control however I believe it's something like 80 percent of all accidents are the fault of the rider. Our instructors also recommended that we retake the class every two years. I know I will.

Glad to hear you and your daughter are okay. The bike can be replaced, you & your daughter can not.
One thing that was learned from your accident is that a helmet must be worn correctly, and for all of us who have read your post, it will be a reminder to ensure those of us who do wear a helmet, wear it properly.
Prayers for a full & speedy recovery.
