Just wondering, at what miles do you do your first oil change. Have seen alot of conflicting numbers - 20 miles, 100 miles, ect.

 

ask your dealer where you bought the bike , in england its 1000 miles , then every year or 5000 miles , but most people do a 2500 oil n filter change , i love the look of the street glides ,and there comfy , how do you like it?

 

1000 miles and every 5000 after that.

 

I always have the dealer do the 1st oil/maintenance on the bike. just to check things out and gives me a good peace of mind.

 

i just had my engine rebuilt and the service guy told me to change first oil at 500 miles. and put in somthing good

I do mine at 500 miles. Some do it earlier.

 

The owners manual has all the service intervals in it. First oil change at 1k miles then every 5k miles after that. Change to synthetic at the 1k mile service.

 

Please tell me these 500 mile intervals are typos, with that kind of interval I would have to change my oil at least every Sunday, sometimes daily on good days.

 

35 miles for me, then 100, 500, and a 1000. I know, but it makes me feel better. Switched to synthetic at 3000 miles.
