riding to daytona oct 7th from st.louis .going to be a good trip.

FYI, Daytona Biketobertfest is from Oct 14th to the 17th.

 

The lovebugs hopefully will be gone by then. I live about 30 miles from Daytona and they are really bad this fall. I am not even bothering to ride until they are gone.

By the way, the Sanford Bikefest (close to Daytona) is the weekend you are heading down if you are going to "Iron Butt" it.

 

I am taking the sissy route.LOL. I will be throwing the scoot in the back of the pick up and driving down from long island on the 8th. We will spend the week there. We went last year too......good times.

 

i guess im gonna be different and ride mine to trailer week.. no offence intended

 

im riden mine ,just dont look right putting a bagger on a trailer.

 

As for me Daytona Biketobertfest is from Oct 13th to the 17th. I will be trailering although I only live a few hours away, I've ridden to Daytona many times and while it's a great ride, especially along the coast on A1A, the weather has also turned on me many times, from day long monsoons to temp drops to the 40's. Am I a wuss?? Maybe but if the monsoons come while I'm on my way back, I'll be saying look at those poor suckas on them bikes.

 

We are leaving tuesday night to get there by wed morning.And yes I'am trailering mine through the night.Bad enough we have a full day planned wednesday with no sleep,riding the bike down would just add to it.

 

Going to be leaving for Daytona on Wednesday the 13th on the bike and plan to stop over in Savannah and go the rest of the way on the 14th. Plan to make the ride all the way home on Sunday the 17th (about 750 miles). Last year was me and the wifes first time at Biketoberfest and we had a great time. This year we have another couple going. Actually, the wives are flying down to meet us on Thursday.
