Stockers on my 09. They have gotten a little louder with 8k miles and won"t wear your ears out during a long ride. Plus, being stock means no tickets.

I have about 6000 miles on my 2010 classic and my wife and I both find it too quiet. I am looking at the screamin eagles right now.

My mods are for comfort...not looks..

but I did drill the baffle out slightly..very nice rumble at cruise.
Stock was toooo quiet
I agree long rides loud pipes would get annoying..
If I want to hear loud pipes I get behind someone with straight pipes for a while

I liked the stock muffs, they sounded good, and as some of you have said after putting some miles on them they do get better!

BUT, I just did a FuelMoto Stage One mod, with their Jackpots, new A/C and tuner. The bike's power woke up and those JP's have a nice low rumble, no neighbors have been disturbed. I took the '09 UC out for a day ride last weekend and at Hwy speeds they are perfect, not too loud, but you know the bike is running, very tolerable, and I am like a lot of you....I do not want more noise, and I want to hear my tunes!

Stock only and always! Don't need the noise on long trips!

I have an 09 Fatbob. Done the Stage 1, screaming eagle slipons, screaming eagle super tuner, screaming eagle air cleaner, and dyno tune. The bike runs great, no surging or anything. Often have toyed with the idea of other modifications (performance wise), then I tell myself how great the bike is now. Why would I want to mess with a good thing. There is something to be said for keeping a bike close to factory specs, albeit a bit of fine tuning. BTW, I know a lot of people slam the screaming eagle slipon mufflers, but they are significantly deeper sounding than stock, without being obnoxiously loud or droning on extended rides.

Ok, a couple of questions then.

I've seen a number of you guys talk about the Jackpots. I've worked with Jamie on past bikes and have been very pleased with his products and customer service. How do the Jackpots hold up and how do they sound compared to the stockers?

I also wonder if putting on a new AC and power commander with the stock pipes will take care of the heat issues and get the bike to run better. Any opinions?
