My 99 RKC is has stock exaust on it, I herd some pipes in Jackson last year that I loved but couildn't get close enough to find out what they where, this year herd some bikes in Yellowstone that you couldn't pay me to own the pipes that where on them, so loud it hurt your ears when they started them, nothing pretty about the sound at all!!!
I think I will stick with what I have.

I have test driven many new bikes with stock pipes and have no problem with the sound, however I like the sound of my pipes a little better than stock. The pipes I have are the V&H true duals and monster ovals which were already on the bike when I bought it used. A lot of people told me that they don't sound loud enough to be a Harley. I say they sound plenty loud to me and that's all that counts. Love the sound and the looks of the monster ovals.
i bought my o1 eg with stock pipes with the baffles punched out, it sounded horrable so i bought a set of cheap stock mufler take offs.. i kind of like it till i can afford some rinehearts..(and that will never happen) plus i can hear my stereo nice and clear
Had Rineharts I liked the sound but were too loud, then grabbed a set of Jackpots love em. But I threw the stock pipes back on and have been riding low for a few weeks now, I like the sound and its comforting like was said in an earlier post.
2006 Road Glide that still has stock everything on motor with 40,000 miles. I probably will change this winter, along with cam and air cleaner and get a power commander.
