Default V&H Monster Ovals or Hi-Output slipons

Can't decide which way to go. I'm afraid the Hi-Outputs will be too loud.

What do you guys suggest?

IMHO, my Hi-Output Slip-ons with Dresser Duals and no cat are deep and throaty buy not too loud. The sound is INCREDIBLY DEEP but not obnoxiously loud. I went to the Hot Springs Rally a couple of weeks ago and riding in the parade I noticed that there are some really loud bikes around, too loud to me. The guy in front of me had a Heritage with straights on it and thought it was the coolest thing to rack the exhaust everytime we came up on a large group of folks. It was annoying as hell being right behind him. So what I'm saying is that there are a lot louder pipes/slip-ons out there. Oh, and the Hi-Outputs look awesome too!

Here's a couple of short clips of my HO's when I first got them. Keep in mind that I'm gunning it kinda hard so it's not typically this loud. They're nice slip-ons with a really deep throaty sound. Good luck with your choice!

I just installed my Monster Ovals today and went for a put with Mrs. Spiz. Not only are they the best looking slip-ons out there (IMHO) but they are quieter than the Harley slip-ons I had and very pleasant on the freeway (no droning). I likey. I am going to have to take some new pics, since more things have changed. :-)

I had HO slip-ons with dresser duals first; the sound was loud; metallic; and high frequency;.....I switched to Monster Ovals at about 6k....the sound is much deeper; lower frequency; still loud with the dresser dual headpipe and 255 cams...but more pleasant and the frequency of the pipes doesn't step on the radio nearly as bad as the HO's........

I've got a friend that has Monster Ovals with stock header and stock cams and his pipes sound pretty much like stock to me....so the dresser dual header and 255 cams make a dramatic difference in sound over stock with the Monster Ovals.....
