Default ultra top heavy with 18 inch wheels

Just added 18 inch custom wheels and sometimes when stopping at a red light I feel like I'm going to tip over. Worse when riding 2 up. i dont know if the new wheels have anything to do with it or not. Has anyone changed to a bigger wheel and felt this. I might have to go back to my stock 16 inch wheels. Seat height actually feels the same so I dont know really whats causing this. I ride my Fatboy a lot more than the Ultra and my Brother said thats my problem. The ultra is a different ride and its all about balance. He said park the Fatboy and stick with The Ultra and he bets that top heavy feeling when stopping will go away. Any feedback will be apreciated.

Did you lower the bike or just go to the taller wheels?

I have a similar feeling when I put the tour pack on after riding a few days or a few hundred miles without it. I'm thinking your brother is probably right.

can't imagine an 18 making a difference. its prob all the extra storage and the faring that your fatboy doesn't have that makes it feel topheavy.

It's that top case I think. 18" wheels should have the same OD as the 16"-ers. They may have a different curve though, but I don't think that should make much of a difference

Just went with the 18 inch wheels. Did not lower bike. I also thought about getting detachable tour pak brackett added. The reason I have never done that is because you have to unplug your rear speakers along with tour pak. I didnt want to lose the sound, but if I knew the ride is that much better I would add bracket .
