Default Stealth Luggage Rack ???

I've been checking out that H/D Stealth luggage rack (hdPart #53938-04). Apparently the license plate has to be moved to install it. Any suggestions on a good spot for the plate?

I have an SG and you do NOT have to elocate the plate.

Hey 06BlackFLHXI,
I think you misunderstand Docsouce-he has an RK NOT an SG. I have an RK and I installed the Stealth Luggage rack myself. The license plate DOES have to be relocated. I just used the HD relocation kit and that worked fine. I did them both myself and at the same time. Took about 2 hours total.

if your going with this luggage rack 53938-04

how about this relocation kit 53702-04

total of only $454 to add the rack... seems high but looks nice

luggage rack is about $20 cheaper at Zanotti's but they dont list this particular liscence relocation kit.

I was looking at doing the same thing but instead of purchasing the license plate relocation kit I looked up all of the parts for the Street glide license plate and light bar assy's and priced them out at Chicago Harley, the total came in at about $150.00 for everything including screws. Thats about $100.00 less than what HD wants for the relocation kit.
