Yeah, get the sportbike. The bagger could never accelerate or corner like a sportbike. May I recommend the Suzuki Hayabusa. It'll put you into the 9's on a quarter mile right from the showroom floor, and tickle 200mph on the speedometer with a little tuning. Cruise speed is about 110mph. You start to feel fast at 150mph. At 175-180 your peripheral vision goes blurred and yellow dashed lines become solid! Then when you shift into 6th your gonna need big ***** to take your eyes off the road long enough to look at the speedo as it's climbing quickly over 180mph. Yeah....that's good ****!

If you can ride a sport bike , buy one if that is what you want.
I for one can't stand to ride those things, up on your wrists, not comfortable at all to me.
If you HAVE TO go fast then a sport bike would be the cheapest way to go.

Now BAGGER what i dont need is to crash and burn doing 180. Im talkin an easy 150 on the highway with no innocent bystanders. Maybe a couple trackdays to strengthen my skills.

You can buy used 600cc sportbikes for next to nothing all day long. A 600 is plenty of bike for public roads, and they're smaller and lighter than the liter bikes. If I had the storage, I'd scoop up a 2 or 3 year old ZX6-R just for funnin' around.

Simple, if you want sport bike performance, buy a sport bike.
If your addicted to Harley, buy a Sportster or V-rod. Maybe ween yourself off the koolaid by getting a Buell. If it's just an anti Japanese thing, look at some of the european makes.
If you want a high performance touring bike get a wing.

I WILL, I REPEAT, I WILL PUSH MY HARLEY BEFORE I BUY A GOLDWING! A wing is not bad to the bone, its bad to the sore legs, bad back, and full set of dentures!
No offense.

If you want racing bike performance go buy a racing bike. Would you buy an Escalade expecting Corvette performance? You are dealing with different classes of vehicle, with different intents and puposes. Why try to make it into something it was never designed for. It can be done, but why?
