--I Love the looks of the Monster Rounds, but I'm not sure if they will be too mellow... If they growl more than the Monster Ovals they are a strong contender..
I have had them both and the Monster Rounds are no louder than the Monster Ovals.
I have a 2011 RGC with a 103 due in next week. I am putting the V&H HOs on it. Love the look of the 4 1/2" pipe at the end plus the sound. Thought about the monster rounds but went with the HOs. Thought the MRs would be too mellow for me.
I'm not 100% ruling out 2:1, I just like the look of duals more. The V&H Pro Pipe Chrome does sound fantastic, and it's a damn steal monetarily, I'm just not a huge fan of it's looks....but it is slowly growing on me.
D&D ! get the ghost pipe if you hung up on duel exhaust
I waited for a long time for the right pipes and I found that the NEW Rinehart 4" slipons sound much deeper, dont be confused by the Rinehart 3.5 they have a totally different sound. I have alot of buddies that have the 3.5 and they love the sound of the new 4" mufflers.
V&H Widows. I thought about the monster ovals, because I wanted deep and low rumble, but the MOs were just a bit too quiet for my tastes. I love the deep resonance of the Widows.
twin slashes are guaranteed not to blue or yellow due to double layers which might be what you aren't crazy about lookswise. However, nothing looks worse than yellow or blue chrome imho. v and h are hard to beat whether mo's mr's or twin slashes as long as cat-less head pipe.
Bought a set of CFR's on Craigslist and tried them on my 2010 Ultra but didn't care for the sound so sold them. Listened to the D&D Boss Fat Cats 2:1 but didn't care for that sound either so I'm going with V&H Power Duals with the 4" Chrome Rineharts with the chrome end caps. Heard this setup on a 2011 Streetglide and liked it. America - all kinds of choices.
I'm still thinking about pipes for my 2010 Road King, and this helps. I'm leaning towards Rinehart Xtreme True Duals with the four inch mufflers, but I do like the look of the V&H Dressers better.
