Badpiggy knows I'm kidding him. I do like the paint on his SG better. The Douche bag reference was to his Thread asking Do you think I'm a Douchbag. I didn't hear how that trip turned out. anyway, just having some fun.

Cool . . . no problem with me.

So, what do you think about my Garmin mount question?

I think I'm leaning toward the fuel door mount again. I got used to it on my 07 so I'm sure I'll like it on my 11.

I'm also going to drill the fuel lid and run the wires inside out of sight.

That's a nice mount, who makes it? Congrats on the new bike, BTW. Looks like we both got rid of our 07's.

I like the bar mount better. my wife wants me to mount hers on her new 2010 Trike. I'm a little hesitant because she's a new rider with only 10K miles experience so far. If I mount it, I'm going with a location that won't take her eyes off the road, like the handlebar mount. Ride safe!!!

I just mounted mine today on the left handlebar. I wired it so I can plug it into the cigarette lighter. I can now remove the whole thing easily when I stop for the night. A lot less wire as well, plugs right in and looks great.

Here is how I did mine on my RGU. Pulled air gauge, moved fuel gauge down, and cut down a RAM mount to fit into the now empty gauge spot. Very solid.

I thought of the new HD bar mount, but wanted my bars clean, plus it shakes badly at idle. I thought of the Kury tank mount also, but didn't like the idea of what it looked like with the GPS removed, especially since I only run with the GPS on trips or when I ride till I am honestly lost, I then have to put the GPS on and select GO-Home.
