H-D of Crete is closing for good

When you go on-line and get your HD stuff at a discount it drives sales down for the local guys. I support my local shop because they have earned my business and I enjoy the services they provide. I might have spent more on gear/parts, but I don't have an issue paying for good service and advice. However, if you local HD shop is not working for you, let them know about it.

Hey freebee that aint for from my house
Today is 30 percent of on some items.Mainly motorclothes.Funny about not paying the MOCO because when i was in there last sat they had a brand new softail and a new rk
that they where taking out of the box.As for other dealers here in the chicago area I am hearing rumors that Conrads and maybe Illinois h-d are in trouble.I hope Illinois doesnt go down.Thats the best shop I have ever dealt with.

From personal experience, I would be okay with Wild Fire closing. I gave all my business to Woodstock or Heritage, and decided to go to the closer Wild Fire for my new RKC. I didnt have a good feeling or experience with the whole sale. I learned my lesson and back to Heritage or Woodstock I go. YMMV

Yea I never cared for wildfire to much.I bought a 03 sportser from Heritage.Went back 14 months later and tried to buy a lowrider from them. They didnt have one nor would they trade for one with another dealer so I bought it the next day from Illinois.
One good thing about living near Chicago. There ALOT of dealers. So if one pisses you off ther is another one not to far awy.

I also had a bad experience at wildfire..... which is weird. Their sister store City Limits has been awesome to work with for my last 2 bikes and my wife's last bike. I drive an hour and 15 minutes ( and right past Wild Fire) to get to City Limits....... they worked harder for my business so I have no problems giving it to them. Even won a free vacation when I bought my last bike there.... hot dang.
