Default $300.00 Lesson for free

AHHHHH.
I came in from offshore the other day and my wife asked me what happened to my front fender- I take a look and about crap on myself----a fist sized dent on top under the tripple tree.
I had a bell hanging under the tree and it was gone but I had a nice dent
that had a bell imprint in it.

HD quoted $683.00 for a painted fender-I almost choked after picking myself up off the floor the parts guy gave me the number of the body man that does their work for the dealer-
I took the fender offf and drove it over to him and he is fixing it for $300.00---

I should have known better!!! But it still pi$$e$ me off- I could have spent the three bills on chrome

I've got a dent in the same place from my bell too. Sure looks like its got plenty of clearance, but apparently not, lol.

Holy crap, I would have thought a bell might scratch it but not dent it...unless it's the liberty bell!

gremlin bells are supposed to be mounted low--so the gremlin can not grab on to something else to break his fall.

Default Gremlin Bell

I don't get the whole gremlin bell thing. I guess I'm not superstitious. I also don't get the whole wave thing either. I guess I'm not freindly or superstitious.

Hang the bell off the floorboard bracket in the future.

I haven't done the bell thing in years. Just seems sorta dumb to me now.

A toolbag attached there will do damage also...

Seen a few at bike night with banged up fenders. Being as I carry quite a bit in my toolbag, it seemed there was no question, especially with it taking up every bit of space under my head light. Sig pic shows it sitting there, but that was only long enuff to take the pic...
