2010 E Glide Ultra - clicking sound L/H side
Hi I have a Electric Glide Ultra classic. I love the bike, great ride. But I have one problem I have a clicking sound on L/H side of engine forward. I first noticed it at high speeds, 60 to 70 MPH, but now it has become sparatic at various speeds. The dealer said that the HD techs he contacted said it was common for my model and that it could possibly be the transmission or clutch and didn't seem interested in fixing it because the bike ran well. The bike has 1,120 miles and the clicking is driving me nuts. Has anybody else had this problem and what did you do to finally get rid of it.
Thanks

Yeap, that about how it usually goes. You have to have a failure before it will be looked into. I agree with that to a degree but sometimes it can get you stranded like it did me.
I had an intermittent starter button switch problem that I could never get to fail while at the dealer. Eventually the starter button failed completely and cause the starter to engage while the engine was running. After having the starter switch replaced, The starter was next to go which cost an extra $65 getting the bike hauled to the dealer with HOG road-side service.

Depends on where the clicking is located? Worse case scenario's:
If up at the front of the Primary, it could be your Compensator springs are digging into the cup? Or loose Comp bolt?
If it's in the general Primary area, it could be your Auto tensioner trying to adjust? Or over adjusted?
If it's coming from the rear of the Primary area - Inner Primary Bearing, Clutch Bearing? Or........da da da daaaa, the dreaded Main Gear Bearing?
It could also be something as simple as a loose Fuel Filler Door, or rattling Shifter Linkage?
I replaced my Main Gear Bearing 20K miles later!
