Try a reach seat, I just talked to a guy that is about your size and he can flat foot his limited now.

I lowered the front and rear already with a SG rear shock and lowering springs for the front. Love it and I can now flat foot it.

TY for the info!

Default Harley Davidson narrow primary

Harley Davidson makes a narrow primary helps get your left foot straight shot to the ground you might want to look at it they put it on ultra limited low 2015

What is the best way to lower one? I've read a lot about Progressive shocks but I really don't want to lose the air ride. I also love the stock seat and do not want to drop a lot of money on a reach seat.

What can you guys who have lowered theirs recommend? Do I just buy the HD SG shocks with front lowering kit or is there a 'better' way? Can I get more than an inch out of lowering 'safely' without bottoming out?
Send your stock seat to Mean City for thei mode lowers you about 3 inches
That's the quick and less expensive mod

I'll be selling my 12" premium ride shocks off my 2014 street glide special in a few weeks. If your interested I'll take $350. They ride better than air and have hand adjustable preload (no pumps) but if you really like the air shocks you can probably pick up a set of "12's on eBay for less than $50.

It just so happens I have a set of 2012 Ultra Limited Lowering shocks. I'll sell them foir 100 dollars. PM me if your interested. It lowers the rear of the bike 1.5 to 2". The bolt right on. You just replace them one at a time. You can see the difference when you put the first one on.

I am about the same height as the OP. I got some boots with a 2" heel from Red Wing, and that is much better (cheaper) way to get your feet to the ground. That being said, I sat on a new low earlier this year, and fell in love with the ride height. I am getting the Low treatment for my bike with new front/rear suspension.

I picked up a set of lowering blocks on ebay for $40, it has three lowering positions, 1,2 or 3 inches. I used 2 inches and looks great.
