Default Tallboy Handlebar on an Ultra

I'm wanting to put the HD Tallboy handlebars on my '09 Ultra. Does anybody know if I'll have to change cables and wiring as well?

I don't know how tall tallboy bars are, but anything over 10", you'll need to change clutch and brake lines. Your wires should be ok up to 13".

Dealer said I would have to change them on my 2009 Street Glide. So I bought some klockwerks ergo up bars. Everything works good and fit me good and Im 6'7". Ergo ups are 2" taller than stock and where your hands go they are straighter.

The ones I'm considering are the P&A catalog bars (56184-08) that are 1.5" taller than stock. Sounds like I'll be fine with the OEM cables and wiring. Thanks for the help!

Hey crazykev4x4, I'm looking for new bars for my 09' Street Glide. I'm 6' 4" and looking at the Ergo Ups. Can you tell me a little more about them. I want my hands to move up but not above the Fairing. Forward a bit from stock and a little flatter hand position than stock. Can you help?

I just got my bike back from my dealer, had the tall boy bars put on. They did change out the cables, had braided cables put on. I'm 6' with a 34 inch arm reach and I gotta tell you I love them. I have a 10 Electric Glide Classic and they look cool on the bike. I live in Western NY and we had a little break in the weather, enough for me to take it down the road and it handles much nicer then the stock. Cost all together was $618. I did spend more having the front end chromed and others.
