RE: Probly not the plce for this but...
We won't forget.
I flew the wife and three kids (19, 16, 13) from WI to NYC this past summer for a family vacation.
We stayed at the Marriot in the Financial District (pieces of the airplanes had landed on its roof on 9/11) and we spent along time around ground zero as a family.
Have visited the towers in earlier years - it was quite dramatic and moving to see that area destroyed.
Wife and I walked around the site at midnight one night - just her and I alone - what a feeling - tough to hold back the tears.
No one can deny that this is World War III. Support your government.

I could not agree more - We are at WAR and it is Everyday. People forget too fast - WWI, WWII and Viet Nam were very set in place and (at least the first two) we knew who the bad guys were... fast forward to 2006 - our enemy has gotten very smart and has mixed with us - having a Free country has its price. As a nation, we have gotten soft on bad guys... Every watch 24 - We need more Jack Bauer's... If you have Not seen the video of our citizen getting his head cut off - the next time someone thinks we are "too tough" on the bad guys - should be forced to watch the video - this is what they would do to "YOU" if given the chance.. The 21st Century is different - where it is going, who knows - I only pray we as a nation come out on top...
OK - off the soap box - sorry - Iam have been a firefighter now for almost 34 years... this is not an easy day...

RE: Probly not the place for this but...
Five years ago this day the enemies of our great land launched what they believed would crumble our spirit. They thought by killing our citizens, by destroying the symbol of capitolism, and attacking the heart of our national defense we could be brought to our knees. They believed terrorist actions would divide and weaken us. They thought we would begin fighting amongst ourselves. They were certain we would weaken under the threat to our lively hood, to our security, and to the threat of physical and emotional harm to ourselves and our loved ones. They thought we were to weak, afraid, and unable to defend ourselves...
They were wrong.
They were wrong.
